Election Eve
In just under twelve hours the polls open here in the Damp Northwest. One thing seems clear: the polls are wrong.
The next two years will (should?) see the polling firms retooling their models in a futile attempt to keep from fading into a quiet extinction. There may be an expansion of electronic markets like Iowa that replace the pollsters.
Please just let there be no lawsuits over ballot counting. Please?
Let us return to the glory days of the Republic when the winner was chosen on election day, by the electorate, not weeks later by the courts. Bad lawyers, bad!
